Have complex but manageable support needs

COMPLEX SUPPORT NEEDS

Individuals may present with needs including:

Alcohol Dependence

Support with structured routines, harm reduction and relapse prevention.

Alcohol-Related Brain Injury

Support for individuals experiencing cognitive difficulties associated with alcohol-related brain injury.

Cognitive Impairment

Including poor memory and impaired executive functioning.

Fluctuating Mental Capacity

Support with decision-making and appropriate routines.

Self-Neglect

Support to maintain personal wellbeing, routines and environmental safety.

Vulnerability to Exploitation

Safeguarding and risk management for individuals who may be vulnerable to financial or physical exploitation.

Emotional Distress

Support for individuals experiencing anxiety, low mood or emotional distress.

Physical Health Needs

Support with health engagement where physical health needs are associated with homelessness or alcohol use.

WHO WE DO NOT ACCEPT

Ensuring the right placement for everyone.

To maintain a safe and appropriate environment, Abbeyrose House does not accept individuals whose needs fall outside the scope of the service.

This includes:

Individuals under 18

Individuals requiring nursing care or hoisting

Individuals with severe learning disabilities requiring full personal care

Individuals with unmanaged aggression or high-risk forensic histories

Individuals requiring secure accommodation

Individuals with active illicit drug use requiring detoxification

Individuals whose needs exceed the scope of supported accommodation

RECOVERY AND PROGRESSION

Recovery and progression at Abbeyrose House are not one-size-fits-all. Each resident’s journey is shaped around their history, strengths and current needs, with a focus on building stability, developing everyday skills and planning realistic next steps.

 

Our Recovery & Progression approach helps residents move at a safe, sustainable pace towards greater independence, while staying connected to the right support and services.
